FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Home: FAQ

Is the activity weather dependant?

Yes, we monitor weather conditions in order to meet our commitment to safety for our passengers and our equine team. Although cancellation is rare, from time to time it is necessary for us to cancel activity. In this circumstance you will be provided the opportunity to re-book with us within a period of 3 years. Please see terms and conditions of purchase.

What can I expect on the day?

Our tours and experiences range from 1 to 5 hours. Once you reserve your tour or experience with us you will receive an email with instructions on where to meet your tour guide or experience coordinator which will be one of several customer collections points depending on what you book. You should arrive to the customer collection point assigned for you approximately 10 minutes prior to your tour or experience. After a safety briefing from your guide you will board your carriage or begin your selected tour of experience. As an outdoor activity you should wear weather appropriate clothing including hats or sunscreen. At the completion of your tour or experience you will be returned to the customer collection point.

Where is the business located?

Due to the nature of our business, we have several customer collection points throughout the valley similar to a bus stop or coach stop. You will need to book with us prior to your anticipated experience, when you book you will be provided with your allocated customer collection point where you will be collected by your tour guide or experience coordinator.

Is transportation to and from the tour or experience included?

No, you will need to arrange a transfer to our customer collection point.

Are there any age restrictions to participate in our tours and activities?

There are no age restrictions to participating in our tours and experiences and we provide family friendly activities and routes designed to appeal to all ages. However, in Australia it is illegal for people under the age of 18 to consume alcohol and they will not be able to participate in wine tasting or the consumption of alcohol.

Are there any health restrictions that limit participation?

We recommend any persons with existing heath conditions consult their doctor for guidance on activities they are able to participate in. We can advise that our activities involve horses and animals and may present a risk to those with severe allergies. Our tours and experiences also involve riding on horse carriages on and offload terrains. While all care is taken the journey can be bumpy in parts similar to driving over a pothole with your car. We offer several carriage types and tours that can accommodate a range of physical challenges or disabilities. If your tour or experience involves food please advise us in advance of any food allergies. Speak with a member of our team prior to booking your experience.

Do we offer accessible tourism experiences?

Yes, we are an inclusive tourism business and can cater for individuals with disabilities. While we are still working on producing a more complete range of experiences, we invite you to reach out to our team and we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.

What is the cancellation policy?

We provide refunds in line with the Australia Consumer Law. Outside of the ACL we review each request on a case by case basis and may provide a voucher that will remain valid for 3 years.

What should I wear?

While our carriages offer some weather protection, this is a predominantly outdoor activity and you should dress in weather appropriate clothing. For experiences involving equine encounters you will need to wear sensible enclosed footwear.

Do our horses enjoy their work?

We take great care in selecting only horses that have an interest and enthusiasm for the work. We are industry leaders in animal welfare and have a 100% commitment to the comfort and enjoyment experienced by our equine team. This means we carefully curate our routes to minimize workloads and keep the work easy and enjoyable. Moreover, we reduce repetitive work time frames. Due to our 100% commitment your tour with us may cost a little more than our competitors, though this small cost difference means you can rest assured you can enjoy our activities knowing you are supporting a business with unmatched equine care and help us as industry leaders to improve practices by example.

Australian Covid Requirements - Updated November 2023

'In Australia most Covid restrictions have been eased, however, some formal and informal practices and expectations remain in order to manage waves and protect the vulnerable. NSW government health recommendations and social etiquette suggest maintaining social distancing, isolation while infectious and wearing masks in some social or medical settings to help protect the vulnerable. Many businesses in Australia also ask that visits to their location be postponed if you test positive for Covid and are infectious, for this reason we ask any patron testing positive for Covid to reschedule their tour or experience. In line with the recommendations of NSW Health we also ask any persons recently recovered and testing negative to wear a mask on our tour if its within 5 days of your first negative test. Tours may need to be altered ad-hoc to accommodate changing requirements including capacity restrictions, indoor tastings and dining experiences to suit evolving Covid-19 restrictions as they are implemented without warning. For more information on updated or changing COVID recommendations from NSW Health follow the below link to the 'NSW Government COVID-19 guidance and support for people in NSW'.
